Meet Lily

Position: Sales Manager

How did you start working at Daisy’s?

“I started with Barbara back in September of last year, so I’m almost coming up on a year as the sales manager which has just been super awesome.”

What is your favorite part of the job?

“I love seeing Barbara doing all the new merchandising and I love working with customers and helping them find gifts for their loved ones or something that puts a smile on their face.”

What does your everyday look like at Daisy’s?

“I come in, take a sweep around the store to see what’s new and what’s changed since I was in last, and then I jump right in to getting new product out or working with people and getting gift wrap done.”

What did you do before working at Daisy’s?

“Before Daisy’s I was doing attorney recruiting at a law firm. It wasn’t really my style so I’m really happy to be in a place where I get to look at beautiful things all day and talk to really sweet people.”

What advice do you have for people looking to go into the retail business?

“I would say keep an open eye on stuff that’s maybe not super your scene, because people love so many different genres. Creating something that’s really well rounded that works for everybody is super beneficial. So, just keeping an open mind and being super ‘up’ on what’s new and up-and- coming.”

Why did you choose the Rifle Paper Co. planner as your favorite Daisy’s item?

“Because I love anything and everything by Rifle [Paper Co.] and I live my life out of their hard cover planners.”

Where is your hometown and what is your favorite thing about it?

“Alameda is my hometown and my favorite thing is how much great new food we’ve put on the island in the last 10 years.”

What did you want to be when you grew up?

“I used to want to be a singer.”

What is your favorite song?

“I love Norah Jones so probably anything by her. But Sprawl II by Arcade Fire is like my favorite, favorite song of all time, so I guess that one.”

What is your favorite place you’ve ever visited and why?

“It’s got to be England. I spent some time there as a child so I love going back and spending time there.”

Any advice you’d give to your younger self?

“Keep on keeping on.”

Stay tuned for the next few weeks to meet the rest of the Daisy’s team!
